The 'Big 3' Stress solutions Puzzle
I like to think big because narrow mindedness serves no purpose in my world.
I don’t look at ‘Stress’ the way a professional Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Doctor or Specialist looks at it. I’m not ‘technically qualified’ with a doctorate nor do I pretend to be!
When I tell people, I blog on ‘Stress Solutions’ they either laugh or raise their eyebrows, I don’t get taken seriously. I’m a confident fun loving woman in her late 30’s who’s a high school dropout. Apparently, I need a ‘Harvard Degree’ or something? Right? However, I beg to differ…
In the darker days of my life I have learnt that the 'Big 3’ work together and it’s a game of determination, knowledge and skill to survive otherwise sickness, disease and mental health issues can arise.
In my mid-30s I was precancerous and health issues had plagued my entire life, so I went and studied all things health, body and mind. I also endured a great deal of mental anguished growing up making me realise ‘Stress’ comes in many forms, straddles many fields and can’t be covered in a single course or treated with just one specialist.
I also put myself through the paces being a ‘Globetrotting Corporate Wife living the Expat Life’. I live out of suitcases between multiple countries. This in itself unleashes an entirely different set of stresses not normal to a life of stability and comfort. And because we’re not all equally attuned stress affects us differently.
Those who know me can vouch I understand stress better than most people, because I’m a unique individual who is different from the majority. That’s why my goal is to help people become more mindful, present and aware of their surroundings.
My blog is designed to take a simplistic approach with the complexities of stress by understanding what trigger factors’ can dictate and control our fast-paced lives.
‘You need to live before you can give’ is my little philosophy in life. It is imperative to find 20 minutes a day for yourself and if you say that’s not possible, then it’s time to stop, assess and reprioritize your life.
When we understand the ‘Big 3’ stresses we take back control our lives. What is Environmental Stress? It’s something surrounding you or you ingest/breathe/apply to the body. What is Physical Stress? It’s when your body reacts to environmental stress or you do something physical to stress it out. What is Emotional Stress? It’s something we think or feel.
So, you can be my judge, jury and executioner… Do you think I know a thing or two about stress? Let’s see… You never know I might surprise you! Sometimes I might trigger a thought, give you some insight or advice which can help you take a step in the right direction and help you reduce your stress.
