Whilst I was hanging out in Huntington Beach I went on a few road tripping adventures with a friend. We set out to Long Beach and here’s what we discovered.
In Long Beach, there are no shortages of boats! Here’s a smaller marina filled with a boat or two which is just beautiful to look at. Although the marinas are not a must-see destination point they are still pretty to see (well I think so). I found it relaxing just being by the water and enjoying the view.
For a little more action and things to do then check out Shoreline Village. Here’s where you can go and grab some food or have a few drinks and enjoy the scenic view. The popular place where you will find people everywhere is a place called The Yard House which is located along the water. Prime time to be here is in the afternoon taking in the awesome view.
If you have children with you and want to entertain them fear not there’s a place where they can be entertained by all the games and rides. Trust me it’s not hard to find the kid area you will hear happy kids playing and laughing.
Located on the other side of the marina along the water you can hire a bike and go riding. There’s even large ‘group bikes’ available for the entire family. I saw more adults than kids riding and they seemed to be enjoying themselves!
If you look closely in the background you will see The Queen Mary which you can tour, here’s more information.

My overview of Long Beach
It seems like a friendly place where you can go and have some fun with family or friends. I think life would be pretty tough to take whilst you have a drink or two and enjoy the view….
So go and check out Long Beach – just be careful in the water at the beach because there have been a few Great White Sharks spotted in the water lately…. Yes, that’s correct Great White Sharks!
Until next time I travel, I see, I share... This is Character 32 doing her best to help you!
