Whilst cruising around the French Riviera on the luxurious Wind Surf Yacht we stopped in Cannes, where we disembarked and made the journey to Antibes. This is what I saw…
There are many luxurious yachts moored at the Port Vauban marina including the monster sized cream coloured one in the background. The tour guide was telling us the port had to be upgraded to accommodate the size of the yacht. There are few sculptures and a Ferris Wheel as well.
The view overlooking the water is just stunning and my photos don’t do it justice. The coastline is so beautiful to walk along or cycle, just watch out of the cars ha ha ha.
The undercover food markets are filled with great fresh produce and you will see all the locals shopping. There are a few places where you can grab a quick bite to eat as well.
The streets are lined with shops and cafes where you can wander around and see what’s on offer. There is also an outdoor market filled with bits and pieces like homewares, clothes, jewellery etc. I really enjoyed purchasing a few nice things in this shop called La Naturelle!
Have you ever tried Absinthe? If not and you’re interested there is a great bar where you can go and have a true Absinthe experience! I would, however, recommend not drinking there on an empty stomach due to the high alcohol volume content. It’s lots of fun!
My overview of Antibes on French Riviera
This smaller quieter town on the French Riviera has a nice relaxing vibe. You could easily spend a night or two there just relaxing, walking around, do some shopping, taking in the scenery and having a drink or two!
Until next time I travel, I see, I share... This is Character 32 doing her best to help you!
