Being an Expat and having my possessions scattered all over the world I need to be creative at times. When it comes to ‘decorating’ a space in a rented apartment in another country where it needs to disposable I don’t want to spend too much.
Here’s how I ‘created a space’ spending all of $4 and used other products/items I already had around the apartment. Here’s the space that really really really needed something!! #understatement!
First I added 2 green stackable shelves (the green was a little loud for me but I made it work). I bought these for $2 each at a store called Daiso in Singapore (they have stores around the world).
I then added bath/beauty products I had from various sources. The organic bath salts and handmade soup are gifts from friends. The loafers were from The Datai in Langkawi (awesome holiday that one!!). I also have my shampoo and conditioner with my dry body brush.
Then I added the vase with fake flowers which were in our old apartment and a gift from management (the old bathroom was brand new and beautiful marble it didn’t need the flowers like this one did!) ha ha ha.
So, for the total of $4 I created a little space using what I already had. I’m sure if you look around the house you will a few things which would be great in your bathroom!
Until next time see it, love it, create it! This is Character 32 doing her best to help you!
